Since Covid in 2020, I no longer offer personal training services at the Trail Aquatic Centre gym, I now offer one on one personal training in my private home gym in Trail for those who prefer a private & convenient setting.

FITNESS CLASSES
New Fall 2024!
Mondays's Suspension strap & Core Strengthening classes
For this class, we use suspension straps (TRX), to activate and engage your core while working full body, we also use exercise balls for more core and stability work. This class is great and easily modified to all fitness levels.

New Wednesday's Core Strengthening Classes!
Build your core, back and glute strength, as well as balance!
Classes will be held at Trail United Church Wednesdays 5:30- 6:30pm
(Omit every second Wednesday of the month)
New Thursdays Boot camp classes!
For this class, we will be strengthening your full body as well as core!
Starts Thursday Sept. 5th - October 24th $120

Penalty box fit & suspension strap combo!
(Note: this class is now circulated into my regular Monday class)
Monday's 5:15 at St. Andrew's church (doesn't run on holiday's unless posted).
Come try out this exciting new class that incorporates hiit cardio, agility, core and full body strength using Penalty box fit grids and suspension straps! For all fitness levels from beginners to advanced.
Why this combination?
The agility grid & hurdle are great tools for hiit (high intensity interval training) workouts!
Not only is it modifiable for all fitness levels from beginners to advanced, but using the hiit method alternating between high intensity and recovery periods is very effective for burning more calories in that short time compared to a traditional lower impact training.
Hiit method increases EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption), meaning your body will continue to burn calories even after the workout, as well as increasing aerobic and anaerobic fitness
decreasing abdominal fat, increasing carbohydrate sparing: more use of adipose tissue (body fat) as fuel!
What does this mean for your heart? Chronic hiit workouts (on a consistent basis) benefits your heart by increasing the stroke volume, increases your cardiac contractility, and improves your blood pressure.
It also benefits your neuro-muscular adaptations by increasing the clearance of metabolic wastes, increases the diffusion rate of oxygen and fuel into muscle tissue, increases production of mitochondria cells leading to more fat and carbohydrate breakdown during the production, resulting in more energy as well as increases your fatigue-resistance slow twitch muscle fibers.
Why add the suspension straps?
The suspension straps are a great tool for strengthening the whole body and core,
and are adjustable for all fitness levels from beginners to advanced.
Switching between hiit (working muscles for endurance and stamina) and the slower more focused work on the suspension straps builds strength and power (fast twitch muscle fibers) of all your muscles as I include exercises for your all body parts including your core!
